I am probably the worst beauty blogger, because I did not purchase anything from the Fenty Beauty line when the collection came out. OMG, I can feel you judging me LOL
However when I saw Stunna Lip Paint. I knew I was going to have to purchase it. What sold me was that fact that it is said to be that the shade “Uncensored” is a perfect universal red. And if you follow me on Instagram you would see, I have been loving red lips lately.
Rihanna created Fenty Beauty “so that women everywhere would be included,” focusing on a wide range of traditionally hard-to-match skin tones, developing formulas that work for all skin types, and pinpointing universal shades. Her vision, above all, is to inspire: “Makeup is there for you to have fun with. It should never feel like pressure. It should never feel like a uniform. Feel free to take chances, and take risks, and dare to do something new or different.
I love how the bottle is not shaded like a traditional liquid lipstick. It almost looks like a bottle that nail polish comes in. I do love the defining precision wand. I have never seen a wand like it before.
It also almost reminds me of the Christian Louboutin nail polish bottle.
Fenty Beauty claims that it is a one stroke intensity, weightless, 12-hour liquid lipstick with a soft matte finish.
My thoughts on Uncensored is that it is a matte liquid lipstick. However, it is not drying at all. Which is great for those of who do not like matte liquid lipsticks. Because they can be drying. You definitely won’t have that issue with Uncensored. It is described as a soft matte but if is definitely transferable. I would suggest that you keep it in your handbag in case you need to re-apply. With it being intense and rich. You will see it transfer, but it won’t transfer to the point where you will notice it immediately.
When testing it out I applied it at 1:31PM with a lip liner. I always apply my liquid lipsticks with a lip liner. By 9:25 PM. you could see that it was starting to wear out in the inner corner of my mouth. All round not looking at neat as it does on the photo I had taken. The only place were I saw wearing off was the center of my bottom lip. Mind you I water out of a straw, soda. Also had a burger and fries. I did obviously see the transfer on the burger and the straws. But I think because the formula is so rich and intense. It doesn’t completely remove all the product on your lip. Hence I said to keep in in your bag to touch if you need be.
On my lips it looks like a deep red, but on photos it pulls more towards an red orange.
Stunna Lip Paint retails $24. It might look like you don’t get much product but you get about the same amount as a Colourpop liquid lipstick. You actually get a tiny bit more in Uncensored. With Colourpop you get 0.11oz and with Stunna Lip Paint you get 0.13oz.
My final thoughts are this is nice liquid lipstick to my liquid lipstick collection. I like that the formula is not drying, only thing I do not like is how easily it transfers.
You can purchase Uncensored from Sephora or on Fenty Beauty.
