I have been on the hunt got these Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powders for exactly a year now. I could not find them anywhere last year. If Wet n Wild restocked they would sell out real quick, so I stood no chance. So I will say I kind of gave up on finding these Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powders.
Highlighters are still hard to find at the drugstore, or let me rather say a good quality highlighter. Wet n Wild did an amazing job on these. The formula is on point and can we just talk about how gorgeous these look. Such a beautiful leaf pattern embossed into the powder. Yes, it broke my heart when I started using these (insert crying face emoji)
I know a lot of beauty lovers might already have these. I am also sure some beauty lovers are still on the look out for these or don’t even know that these amazing highlighters are available at the drugstore. We all know that the drugstore lacks having any good highlighters. But, Wet n Wild have some major winners here.
Precious Petals has been the one that has sold out the most. So I think it is only fitting that I start talking about it first. I definitely prefer Precious Petal over Crown of My Canopy. Just because it works a little better with my skin tone. I also prefer my highlighters to be a bit more of a golden shade. It has a pink-ish golden under tone. Even though it reminds me alot of Becca’s Opal. Which is probably my all time favourite highlighter.
Crown of My Canopy, is the darkest of the two highlighting shades. It pulls towards a more peachy bronze shade. It is very unique to my collection, since I don’t own anything thing like it in my collection. I did various swatches and nothing looked remotely similar. This would be a great highlighter for anyone with a deeper skin tone.
I honestly think you can own both just to see which one of these highlighters would work better on your skin.
Above you can see the swatches of these gorgeous highlighters. These Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powders are super pigmented, soft, and easy to pick up with not a lot of fallout. They go on so smooth with no chunky glitter particles, reminding me of much higher-end formulas. Great thing is they cost a a fraction of some of the higher end highlighters. I prefer using them with my Anastasia Beverly Hills Highlighting Brush (A23) when applying these gorgeous highlighters.
I was able to find the Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powders at Walgreens. They retail for R4.99
