Colourpop has reeled me in yet again and this time the Colourpop Love Line Super Shock eyeshadows. If you did not know Colourpop has their value sets and those are usually the shadows I pick up.
Everytime I pick up the Colourpop Super Shock shadows. I’m just as amazed as I was the first time I tried them.
The Super Shock shadows are some of the most rich/creamy (almost wet like) shadows I have ever used. They don’t remain “wet” on the lid, they set down to a powder finish. The Colourpop Super Shock shadows are available in a bunch of different finishes – pearlized, metallic, ultra metallic, satin, matte.
After trying all the different finishes, I will say that satin, matte and ultra metallic finishes are definitely my favourite. Lately, I have just been using my Colourpop shadows and the only time I have been reaching for my palettes it to use them for the transitions shades.
If you have never tried the Colourpop Super Shock shadows, they will have you taken a back a little by the texture. They remind me of a dense sponge/foam pillow/a squishy marshmallow…now just imagine those three things combined and having a baby. The end product would be the Colourpop shadows weird I know.
The best way these shadows are by using your fingertip or you can use a flat, firm synthetic brush.
The Colourpop Love Line is a gorgeous eye shadow set. If I could have I would probably not selected the shadow in “Truth”. I just find it a bit lack luster and its like I have palettes with that shade already.
You are able to purchase these shadows individually if you are one of those people that are not interested in all the shadows that come in the Love Line set.
Static – is a stunning pearlized deepened burgundy. I love applying shades like this all over my eye and blending it out.
Sequin -is a gorgeous metallic copper penny-like shade with mutli-dimensional glitter.
Truth – Is a neutral light beige in a satin finish. I will say this shade is my least favourite out of the 4
Brady – Is a soft matte dusty rose it is absolutely gorgeous shade. I love a good matte shade.
The Love Line set retails for $18 on the Colourpop website or $5 individually
This is definitely not my last purchase from Colourpop. They have really won me over this time not because of their liquid lipsticks but, their eyeshadows. I need to try their other products as well.
