My 100th blog post whoop whoop 🙂
August who? seriously this was probably the month to go by the fastest for me.
I hope you all had a lovely August. And ready for Fall and all the lovely things that come with it. Comfy sweater, pumpkin spice everything, vampy lips, and dark nail polish 🙂
Last month I did not have a monthly fav, just because I did not try anything, they were just repeats from previous months. I did not want to bore my readers.
August was a good month for me. I tried some new products and loved ones I have previously talked about.
LORAC Behind The Scenes Eye Shadow Primer (mini) – This primer as been my fav so far. I use to think the Urban Decay Primer Potion was all that and a bag of chips, but after I started using the Lorac one. The UD one was just leaving this white marks on my eyes, it just was annoying while applying my shadow. With the Lorac one my eye shadows stay put all day and it does not crease.
L’Oreal 24HR infallible Eye Shadow in Amber Rush– If you do not have this colour in your collection, I suggest you run to the store real quick. You will thank me later lol. It is such a beautiful colour that can be worn with other shadows or on its own with some eyeliner. They last pretty much all day.
LORAC Pro Palette 2 – This is my number one fav of this month. The only palette I have been using since I basically got it and I am not ashamed to say it. I love, love, love this palette and probably will for the months to come. I have not been using the 1st one at all, and that is a lot coming from me as I love the 1st one. With this one I have just been playing with all the different colours, that is in it.
Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravegant Mascara in Black – I have got to say this mascara has the best wand I have ever liked from any mascara. I have been using this mascara all month and it sadly is done and ready to hit the trash can. I have really, really liked this mascara and what it did for my lashes. Smoky indeed 🙂
elf Contouring Blush & Contour in St.Lucia – This something that I have had in my stash and it was really just in there, until I started reaching for it more and more this month. I use the blush for a little colour on my cheeks, but I mostly use the darker shade for a bronzer and not so much as a contour, since it does contain some shimmer. This is really a lovely product if you are just starting out in makeup, or if you are trying not to splurge.
Bourjois Bronzing Poweder 52– I have bee using this powder all month to get a contour. I don’t use it as a bronzer, but a contour. I find that it it not to deep of a contour shade that I like. Keep in mind I am not a contour queen. This does give me a subtle contour, it does have tiny shimmering sparkles, but it is not obvious on your face or cheeks.
Wet n Wild Mega Lipstick in Purty Persimmon – Lets just start of by saying if you do not own of these lipstick. I suggest you stop reading my blog and go out and pick up one, two or all of them LOL. This is a colour I have been wearing all August and all Summer. I do not find them drying at all, the colour pay of is spot on. In my opinion these lipsticks are some of the best at the drugstore. And for the price you really can’t beat that.
Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores – For some reason this holy grail product of mine got lost in the mix of it all, but I am so glad I found it again, My skin can never ever be without this again. This stuff is amazeballs!!!! I so will be picking up the full size once this is done.
This is definitely is a first for my monthly favourites, where I mention a product that I really wanted to like (maybe there is still hope)
Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Deep Treatment Masque with Sea Kelp & Argan Oil– I have used this product about 4 times and I have just let it sit in my shower caddy. I have used hair masks before, but this was just so odd to me especially when I rinsed my hair, it made my hair feel like dried straw. That I actually had to re-wash my hair and apply conditioner again. Because stuff was just not agreeing with my hair at all. And is such a disappointment because I love their curly milk. I might give this another go, but as of now, it is a no go for me and my hair.
* In the main picture I forgot to place the LORAC Behind The Scenes Eye Shadower Primer in the picture.
What were some if your favourites ?
