I am back with yet another liquid lipstick…. I see you all rolling your eyes already 🙂 A couple of weeks I did a post on My Liquid Lipstick Favourites…and Least Favourites. Lonely Planet ranked second on my list and for very good reason I say.
Lonely Planet offer a plethora of different shades of liquid lipsticks. Ranging from the deepest berry hues all the way to metallic/disco shades. A start-up company founded in December 2014, the shop didn’t launch until March 2015.
These handmade products contain only a handful of ingredients. What is great about them is that they are vegan and cruelty-free liquid lipsticks.
100% Handcrafted and poured by hand with love! No two batches are the same, but strive for quality, accuracy and consistency! Every label, shrink-wrap, sticker and detail is done by hand. Their packaging is pretty simple with a gold lid, the applicator brush is the standard sort you would find on a liquid lipstick.
I have purchased 3 shades from Lonely Planet while watching a YouTube video from totalmakeupjunkie101. She raved about how much she loved formula and that Lonely Planet, is a favourite liquid lipstick.
Let’s start with the first shade that I purchased…which was Starr, it is a beautiful matte brown shade. This is can be an intimidating shade for some people. Perfect shade for the seasons we are entering now if you are in the Northern Hemishere.
Lexington, is definitely my favourite shade, its reminds me of a beautiful clay brick. Dupe suggestion: Dose of Colors “Cork. Since Autumn is here, this is a perfect shade to be wearing right now. If you are that type of person that wears their lips colours according to the seasons. It is such a beautiful lip colour, I think it would look amazing on so many skin tones. Lexington is definitely my favourite out of the 3 shades that I own.
Foxy is a beautiful metallic matte shade, It has a grey/purple shade. I must it is my least favourite one from the ones that I own. I feel like it just does not suite my skin tone when I pair it alone, this metallic formula tends to make my lips look dead/dry. I suggest that you either apply a balm to your lips prior to applying Foxy or applying a gloss on after you apply Foxy. For those wondering Foxy does not have chunks of glitters pieces in the formula.
The application of these liquid lipsticks are velvety-smooth and not drying. These do dry quite quickly, however it remains slightly tacky and transferable for a while, so give it ample time (10 minutes) to fully dry. These are matte and soft to the touch, it really doesn’t feel like you are wearing anything at all on your lips.
Since we all know how some liquid mattes can have our lips feelings. They wear wonderful throughout the day, I will not say that they are super long-lasting. But, they sure are very comfortable for the hours they are on my lips.
I love Starr and Lexington and how they wear on my lips, Foxy wears just as well and don’t get me wrong the formula is pretty much the same. I just think the colour was not right for my skin tone. I would love to try more of these matte metallic formulas from Lonely Planet.
I almost forgot to mention they have some of the cutest packaging. The packaging I got was holographic like and when I opened up my package stars fell out of my package.
Lonely Planet Cosmetics has some of the best liquid lipstick formula out there, and if you are on the market to try something new liquid lipsticks I would say give them a try.
