I mentioned on Twitter that it is about too be all about highlighters on my blog. Don’t worry I won’t bombard you 🙂 I am a highlight and lipstick lover. So, I only see fit that I share my love with you ♥
There was a lot of hype around Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator Glided Honey when it was released. I remember that it was constantly sold out. I was lucky enough to find the last one at my local Ulta a few weeks ago.
Laura Geller released two Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminators – Ballerina and Glided Honey. Ballerina is a candlelit, warm rose gold shade. I decided to go with Glided Honey. an effervescent caramel honey shade. I live for a golden highlight even though I did venture out on one of my highlighters. Which I will be talking about really soon.
This innovative hybrid texture from Laura Geller applies like a sheer powder but feels like a cream, creating a translucent wash of luminous colour that can be swept all over the face for a lit-from-within glow. A fresh 3D design captures the look of a favorite Italian dessert and lasts until the very last application. The embossing is hypnotising to me.
♥ The packaging is pretty basic, almost cheap looking and feeling. I do however love the little lips on the lid. The fact that it not on the more sturdy side doesn’t bother me much since the product makes up for the packaging. I can see it being good for travel -carry on ladies not check in, you know how rough they can be with our luggage.
I have seen swatches of people comparing it to Estee Lauders ‘Heatwave’ which was limited edition. They do looki very similar from looking at the swatches they do look very similar. So if you missed out on ‘Heatwave’ try and get your hands on ‘Honey Glided’.
I like applying this a fan brush or a tapered brush very lightly. I think a dense brush would pick up too much product but, if you want to look highlighted for the gaaawds go right ahead.
♥ You get 0.16 oz/4.5 g of product. It definitely the smallest highlighter I own. It definitely packs a punch, like they say dynamite comes in small packages. M.A.C Extra Dimension Finishes are about 0.31 oz/9 g of product. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors are 0.28 oz/ 8 g. Just to give you an idea of how much product you are getting.
Did you purchase one or both of these?
Do you like it?
