BECCA collaborated with YouTube beauty celebrity and makeup artist Jaclyn Hill to create a new limited-edition shade of their number one bestselling luminiser powder. Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop which is featuring her dream shade, Champagne Pop—a soft white, gold shade with pinky peach undertones—this creamy luminiser leaves the skin with a soft pearlised glow.
So, when news broke on social media that Becca and Jaclyn Hill would be collaborating. I only saw fit that this collaboration would have taken place. To me it feels like Jaclyn Hill put a lot of us all in Becca’s direction.
I wanted the oh so famous highlight Opal because of Jaclyn Hill. She has that power. To make you want anything and everything she raves about. I think if she had to sell her used eyelashes. There would be someone out there, who would want those lashes.I’m telling you she has that power, I wouldn’t go that far 🙂
Jaclyn mentioned in one of her recent videos that she created Champagne Pop with her sister in mind. Who I think has a hard time finding a highlighter for her pale skin. “I am so excited to present to you my dream shade of the very best highlighter on the market—Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Champagne Pop…Be sure to let me know what you think and hashtag #Champagnepop #defineyourlight.”—Jaclyn Hill.
Now, don’t let that scare you and think that this highlighter is only for people who have pale skin. I think that this highlighter would work for a few other skin tones.
The quality is exactly the same as the other Shimmering Skin Perfector’s from Becca. Smooth and finely milled, not glittery. You only need a tad bit. These highlighters pack a punch.
The highlighter comes in a pretty box, but I wish the packaging was a little more special. Like they had with the limited edition Shimmering Skin Perfector in Blushed Copper.Which was in a rose gold packaging.
♥ You can see that Champagne Pop (L) is a soft white, gold shade with pinky peach undertones. Where as Opal (R) is a golden opal pearl shade. I think if one had to explain what shade Champagne Pop looks likes. I think you can say Moonstone (which I do not own) and Opal had a baby. You would end up with Champagne Pop.
♥ Champagne Pop (index finger) and Opal (middle finger) swatch very similar, but when you hold it in the “right” lighting. You can see that Champagne Pop is more peachy, where as Opal is more golden.
Not the best quality of photo’s. I did want to show you photo’s without flash and with flash. So you would be able to see the true swatches. Opal is on the top and Champagne Pop on the bottom
You are probably asking the question whether it is worth purchasing Champagne Pop or just skipping it. I actually asked myself the same question. Here is what I have to say about it…
If you are a highlighter hoarder like myself, you are a huge Jaclyn Hill supporter. Then I say go out and snag one before they are gone. If you own Opal or Moonstone I would say skip out on it as you not really missing out on anything. But, hey if you just want it in your collection, I say go for it.
Champagne Pop retails for $38.00 at Sephora for a limited time only.
