Happy New Year!!! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. And ready to take on the new year. I wish you all nothing but the best for 2015. May you complete all you put your mind to.
I never did a ‘Best of Beauty 2013’ last year, but I have been seeing these going around. So, I decided I would up on the bandwagon as share some of my favs/obsessions. I initially wanted to do a 4 products I was obsessed with, but that just would not have been fair to all my other products 🙂 so I decided to go for 14 products instead since it was 2014.
♥ First Aid Beauty-Ultra Repair Cream: Even though I only started using this in December, it is AMAZING!!! I have been wanting to try this product (if you saw my Christmas wishlist, you would have spotted this product) It’s that where has this product been all my beauty life. I love using at night after I cleansed and all that good stuff. This is great for heaps of things. But it has been GREAT for those dry patches I suffer from.
♥ Benefit The POREfessional – even though this is a sample size (I have a few lying around) I am not really a huge primer girl, but I do see that they make a difference. This is the primer I used every time I did my makeup. I loved how it did blur out my pores and this stuff smells so good. This year I want to try some more primers. What are some of your favourite ones?
♥ L’Oreal True Match Lumi – This has been my favourite foundation for a long time now. I need to find a highend version of this foundation. I think I have heard NARS Sheerglow is comparable. This foundation provides me with a dewy finish. You are able to build it up for somewhat of medium coverage, it is not a full coverage foundation. It is a great foundation for people who have dry skin.
♥ M.A.C Fix +- Need I even talk about this product, I am obsessed with this stuff. Earlier this year I decided to order the travel size, in case I did not like the big size. But as soon as this travel size is up. I will be picking up the full size. It really is just such as awesome product. You can use it with your eyeshadows, you can apply it before you apply your foundation. You can apply it once you have all your makeup on your face. It keeps it looking fresh and dewy in my case. Holy grail stuff right here 🙂
♥ LORAC Pro Palette 2 – (LORAC Pro Palette not in the image) where my top eyeshadow palettes. I used both of them equally throughout the year. They both have shades that are up my alley. If you don’t know what palette I suggest one of the Lorac Pro palettes, they are great.
♥ M.A.C Pro Longwear Concealer– Holy grail concealer right here, coverage is great. I did try the NARS creamy concealer, but that stuff creased under my eyes like no ones bizness. That does not happen with the Pro Long concealer. It hides my dark circles perfectly and highlights as well.
♥ Maybelline Master Precise eyeliner– I did a post early last year, where I mentioned that I will get better at applying eyeliner (Here). And i think I have done good so far, but why can’t I get both looking at the same all the time LOL. It is such a struggle. But back to this liner, I did use the Loreal 24HR infalliable one, but i do prefer this one more. I feel like I had a better hold of it, and I found that it more a little more pigmented.
♥ Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade– Holy grail product right here, it is all I basically use on my eyebrows (check out my thoughts here ) There was so much craze about this product in 2014. That they were sold out at a lot of places for a while. It is a great product for your eyebrows. You can get a little carried away, I look at pics now and I am ‘like what were you thinking?’ way to dark, but you get use to it and how much to use. I would like to try some new shades that have come out.
♥ Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit– There was lots of hype about this product as well last year. ABH was on a roll when it came to the ‘It’ beauty must haves last year. I am new to all this contouring stuff and face highligting stuff. But since I got this I have reached for it over and over. You can purchase this kit online and pick the pan shades you want or you can pick this up at Ulta and Sephora. My fav ones to use are the ‘banana’ powder to highlight my under eyes and ‘fawn’ to contour. I am yet to dig into the other pan shades.
♥ Benefit Hoola Bronzer – Even I got the ABH Contour Kit, I just used the Hoola bronzer it was something I have wanted for a few years now and i finally added it to my collection. When I first looked at it, ‘I thought to myself, this is not going to show on my skin.’ But it definitely does show up.
♥ BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal – Holy grail highlighter 🙂 I love this highlight it so buttery , smooth. Also one you easily can get to carried away with it. But with that being said it is that perfect champagne gold. Great highlighter for a lot of skin tones.
♥ NYX Butter Lipstick in ‘Snow Cap‘- I found my perfect everyday nude. These Butter lipsticks are awesome, they are pigmented and smooth on the lips. I wore this lipstick loads last year, it will be one of my first lipsticks that will be done sometime soon lol
♥ NYX Lipliner ‘Mauve’– Dupe for the M.A.C Lipliner is Whirl, that Kylie Jenner set us all on 🙂 It is that browny shade. I must say she did spark the 90’s lip trend. I love it since I never got to rock it. I only remember seeing it on my posters that I had on my wall. Geez kids don’t even do that any more LOL
♥ M.A.C Styled in Sepia (LE) – My lip obsession right here. It is a greyish/browny shade. A shade I do not have in my lipstick collection. It is that lipstick that i would be sad about if I lost it or if anything ever happened to it. Since it is limited edition I will definitely guard it with my life 🙂
I hope you enjoyed my Best of Beauty 2014. What were some of your favs?
