If you are Instagram you definitely have seen or been followed by someone who is a Younique sales person. With loads of before and after pictures of ladies, who have used this and praise it. They are usually ghost followers and hardly interact with you.
I was contacted by Destiny Powell (YouniqueDenisee on Instagram) a couple of weeks ago. She liked what she saw on my Instagram and offered to send The Younique 3D Fiber Lash. I accepted as I was curious about this ‘magical mascara’ that I have seen on Instagram.
What is Younique 3D Fiber Lash? Our simple three-step process combines Transplanting Gel and Natural Fibers to help create the appearance of incredible thickness and volume to your existing lashes. Watch as your lashes transform into something you have only dreamed of! The 3D Fiber Lashes are water-resistant but easily wash off with warm water and facial cleanser at the end of the day.
Directions as per their website: To prepare your eyelashes for optimal results, first apply one thin coat of your own regular favorite mascara and let it dry. Then, apply Moodstruck Transplanting Gel to your lashes.
Immediately following, and while the gel is still wet, apply the Moodstruck Natural Fibers.
Reapply the Transplanting Gel a second time to secure the natural fibers onto your lashes.
Who Would Like This? I think this is great for ladies who don’t know how to apply false lashes and what that same look. This is also great if you do not want to spend a bunch of money on eye lash extensions. It is also great for a girl like me who really doesn’t have lashes.
Its great for everyday when you head off to work, shopping or just running your daily errands.
Transplanting Gel & Natural Fibers
What I Have Found: When I first tested out this 3D Fiber Lash set. I applied one coat of my regular mascara. I applied the Moonstruck Transplanting gel to my lashes and immediately applied the Moonstruck Natural Fibers. one my left eye. And on my right eye I applied just the Moonstruck Transplanting Gel and then immediately the Moonstruck Natural Fibers. What I found was that it is you eyes look much fuller when you apply your own mascara first. Rather than just using the Transplanting Gel. You do need to reapply the Transplanting Gel after you have applied the Natural Fibers. Now with that I found if you run your wand it can take off some of the fibers so it is best to, do it very lightly and just on the tips.
I have seen other people’s before and after pictures on Instagram and to be honest some of those lashes just do not appeal to me as they look to spidery and clumpy. That just is not a look for me. but that is just me. You might like it that way. For the purpose of this review I did apply a second layer of everything on my left eye. And with me doing that my eye lashes did become spider looking.
I did find that the fibers do flake off a little during the day, that you can just wipe away with a wet wipe. But I can see how some people might not like that.
This is also not the type of mascara you would apply with your false eye lashes, as they will not blend in well with your eye lashes.
I can see how some ladies might not appreciate the 3 step process, but I can say it is a fast process. There is no long waiting times involved
Sorry for the creepy eye photos 🙂
As you van see there is a big difference in my lashes. As you can see on the left side I have no product in my eye. And on my right eye. I applied my regular mascara and then I applied the transplanting gel followed my the natural fibers
Is It Worth It? This product is $29.00 for the Tranplanting Gel and the Natural Fibers. Which is a little pricey since it is up there with some higher end mascaras. I think give it ago if you have not found your “it” mascara or you just not into applying false lashes. I enjoy the mascara, but I don’t think I would spend $29 on a mascara. That’s just me.
