Hi Beauties ♥
How are you guys doing?
When I first LORAC would be releasing a new LORAC PRO Palette 2, I was super super excited. As if you do not already know I LOVE the first one.
But…. when I saw the PRO 2 shadows I was like I need that palette in my life.
Like a girl can never have enough pairs of shoes, the same thing basically applies to palettes. My husband begs to differ, but oh well lol
This palette is more cooled toned where as if you have the first one it is more warm/neutrals.
Even though I am a neutral kinda girl, the colours in this palette just said ‘hello, how you doing?’
Like the first palette, this one comes with 16 shadows – 8 mattes on the top row and 8 shimmers on the bottom row.
It also comes with a mini Behind the Scenes Eye Primer.
Which is my opinion is awesome, I have had no issues with it.
The shades are completely different the only shadow that repeats itself in this palette, is the matte black shadow.
The packaging is exactly the same, only difference with this one is that the packaging is grey in colour.
I really appreciate that these palette’s have the names of the shades/colours below them
This palette is still $42
Here are some closer looks at these beautiful colours/shades
The first colour I swatched was ‘Jade’ I had to remind myself, that I needed to take pics first before I could go on a swatch fest. As you can see my finger marking in ‘Jade’
I do have to say that there are some shades/colours that are a little more powdery, than others. But the shades/colours are still as buttery as ever. Some are just a little powdery.
But it would not deter me from purchasing this palette #loracpropalette4life
And I am the type of person that applies my eyeshadow first, so it would not be a big deal for me to just wipe it away.
Below are some swatches
I am really impressed by the selection of shades/colours that came in this palette, they are highly pigmented. These are colours I do not have in any of my other palettes, there is one or two that look similar, but not the same.
The colour I do not really care for in the matte shades is ‘Buff’ when i swatched it, it hardly appeared on my skin. I had to swatch it twice to get the colour you see on my arm.
Plum is also such a gorgeous colour. The colour I am most excited about in the matt row is the ‘navy’ , it is a navy for real. When i swatched it, I wanted to kind of dive into the colour. Over all I am really impressed with the matte selection is this palette. Keep in mind the ‘black’ does make an appearance again.
Love the selection of shimmers in this palette, I think by far my fav – they are amazing.
I do not even know where to begin with the shimmer row, this row has really left me in a happy place. They are pigmented, they swatch and blend like butter.
I think ‘Rose’ is the perfect rose gold colour. Mocha is a beautifyl colour. Even the silver is like pow pow silver. ‘Cocoa is a stunning as well.
Can you beauties tell this row and palette, just has me at a loss for words.
So you are probably asking yourself well “Stephanie, are you going to tell use which one to purchase” And to be honest it really depends on what colours you are drawn to.
I think even if this one came out before the first one, I would still have purchased this one. As these colours, pigmentation and the quality is what drew me to these palettes.
I say go out and purchase them right now….what are you waiting for? lol
You can also go to Ulta, Kohls to swatch the palettes and see which one or two you are drawn too.
I love both of these palettes, and if anything ever happened to them, I would be heart-broken. I really would be beauties.
Oh so dramatic Stephanie (lol yes I am taking to myself in third person)
Have you tried this palette? what do you think about it? do you have favourite one?
Side note: Many many thank Sharon (hopefully you read this) ♥
